The Push Sports Thumb Brace, psb’s successor, has developed the thumb brace to stabilize and protect the middle thumb joint (MCP-1). The Push Sports Thumb Brace ensures that the ligaments can recover optimally and protects the joint from recurring injury. In addition, the brace provides a solution for persistent pain on the thumb. The persistent pain is often a result of overs stretching or dislocation of the thumb. When wearing the thumb brace, the freedom of movement of the remaining thumb joints is not limited. The Push Sports Thumb Brace can be worn under a ski and keeper glove without limiting the palm in the use of any sports attributes. The thumb brace is available in both left and right in three different sizes.
The thumb brace can be washed at a maximum of 30 degrees Celsius in the washing machine on the fine washing program or by hand wash. However, for the longest possible life, it is important to let your brace dry after use before putting it back in storage.
Do not tighten the brace too tightly, this may cause problems with the blood flow of the hand.
- Stabilization and protection of MCP-1
- Outcome in persistent pain
- Other thumb joints and wrist retain their freedom of movement
- Ski thumb
- Distorsion of the MCP-1 joint
In case of complaints to the CMC-1 joint, the Push Sports Thumb Brace is not the most suitable solution. The brace is not developed to support this joint. The Push Ortho Thumbbrace CMC is suitable for this.
